Her family comprises of herself and her husband. They have only 0.10 Decimal of land. Since the land is too less for any commercial purpose, they use it for Nutrition garden. The family’s financial needs are fulfilled by daily wage labour work under MNREGA by both couples. Apart from this her husband takes tuition for small children. Hence, the source of income is labour work and tuition fee. According to Rajani if they don't get a work under MNREGA it will be very difficult to run their household. Due to rising expenses and cost her husband was forced to go to Raipur to work as a migrant.

When NYDHEE started its intervention in 2022, she was selected as project participant in SoCC program from March, 2022. She participated in 5 activities of SoCC 6 times a month. According to the SoCC program, points are awarded for each program. After reaching 300 points, NYDHEE gave Redemption under SoCC program. She was interested in backyard poultry and hence went for this option. According to her, “I was interested in backyard poultry rearing as a profitable venture that can provide regular income with less investment. NYDHEE gave me 10 chickens. After 3 months, I sold the chicken and got 4500 rupees from 10 chickens. Second time I reared chickens myself and got 5000 rupees. I am very happy to have additional income every three months with fewer expenses. I am thankful that NYDHEE encouraged and supported me for sustainable livelihood. Now my husband is not going for migration because now we are financially stable and aware of means of sustainable livelihood”.
