Covid 19 Relief
Heifer International supported for Covid relief towards 84 project participants who belonged to 26 SHGs to the tune of Rs. 7, 54,000/- in Bangriposi block. The primary purpose for this support was to provide an immediate support for those who have faced huge economic and social losses due to Covid and are so vulnerable that they cannot come out of it unless some external support is provided. This support helped the participants to get any medical treatment they required along with restarting their income generation activities. The participant’s selection was done keeping in mind the vulnerability factor and the magnitude of losses incurred, preference was given to widows, single mothers, sole breadwinners of the family etc.
